Due to the increasing global spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus, the conference organizers and committees have decided to cancel CPV-16.
As the CPV community is a very close one where everyone is looking forward to meeting each other in person, an online format did not seem to be an adequate substitute.
Nevertheless, we want to give all our authors the opportunity to publish their scientific paper with AIP.

CPV-16 is the premier technical conference in the areas of high- and low-concentration PV components, modules, and tracker-based PV systems. The conference was supposed to take place from May 4-6, 2020 near Denver in Golden, Colorado, USA, and to be hosted by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
The CPV-16 conference proceedings are now published with AIP, the American Institute of Physics (www.aip.org), volume number 2298.
All accepted papers are freely accessible on the AIP website and contain an ISBN number for the volume as well as individual DOI numbers for each paper.

After careful consideration of the ongoing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) overseas and in the United States, the Organizing Committee decided not to conduct the 16th International Conference on Concentrator Photovoltaic Systems (CPV-16) in Colorado, May 4-6, 2020.
In addition to the personal exchange in the community during the conference, your scientific results were and are meant to be published in the AIP open access conference proceedings database. Even though the event is now cancelled, we want to give you the chance to publish your current work in a special edition of proceedings with AIP.
As CPV-16’s Publication Chair, I herewith invite you to submit your paper! The process will remain the same, including the review process followed by the open access publication. To cover the publication costs, a fee of 100 € will need to be charged. I look forward to reading and learning of your latest results even if we cannot meet personally this year!
